Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC)

MD Medium Duty

Medium frequency of use primarily by those with some incentive to exercise care in areas of domestic character where assemblies are unlikely to be damaged by wheeled equipment.

High performance Melamine Faced Chipboard 730kg/m³ density, moisture resistant, suitable for dry environments with light to medium use.

- Finished panel thickness 18mm*
- Panels supplied square edged with matching 1mm pvc lipping

High Pressure Laminate (HPL)

HD Heavy Duty

High frequency use by public and others in areas where medical/nursing procedures carried out and where assemblies may be damaged by wheeled equipment, accident or mis-use.

High Pressure Laminate bonded onto 680kg/m³ density moisture resistant chipboard, suitable for dry environments with more intense use. 

- Finished panel thickness 18mm*
- Panels supplied square edged with matching 1mm pvc lipping or postformed vertical edges

Solid Grade Laminate (SGL)

Wet Areas/Mental Health

Areas subject to prolonged moisture, eg showers/baths or areas if high abuse.

High density Solid Grade Laminate, 1400kg/m³ , impervious to water, suitable for the most demanding environments where strength and/or water resistance is needed.

- Finished panel thickness 13mm*
- Polished radius black edges

Please note: There is no specific performance specification stipulated within HTM 68. Solid Grade Laminate is Bushboard's recommended option.
