Ogura Ward is one of 6 wards that makes up Chapters House, the mental health facility in Goodmayes Hospital, Ilford. Chapters House facilitates 99 patients in total, 20 of which are on Ogura Ward.
Colin Bullen from Amwell Construction Ltd. was Amwell’s Main Contracts Manager on the project. Colin often prefers Bushboard products and Ogura Ward was no different, “Bushboard offer quality products with a quick turnaround from the design process to delivering on agreed times.”
Bushboard supplied high-risk healthcare units – healthcare boxed out units with a rigid aluminium frame and panel system – specifically designed for safe ensuites and communal wet rooms in a high-security environment. Anti-ligature sanitaryware, crafted from high impact resistant, anti-shatter moulded resin, was pre-plumbed to the units ensuring the safest possible environment.
Safety and security were the biggest priorities on this project, “Works are being done mainly for anti-ligature purposes as to eliminate risks to patients, staff and visitors.”
Boxed out units and panels were chosen in Bushboard’s Arctic white colour, giving the rooms a clean, modern finish.
Colin was extremely happy with both product and service gave by Bushboard, “I would use Bushboard again and recommend them to others. The service was first class as usual.”
The reaction to the healthcare sanitary assemblies, sanitaryware and brassware have been very positive, “Bushboard has provided well made, robust units and quality sundries.”
