Rimless toilet - raised height for ambulant users
HBN and HTM compliant back to wall raised height WC suitable for healthcare facilities.
HBN recommends
Assisted WCs are suitable for wheelchair and assisted use throughout a hospital or healthcare environment.
HBN 00-10 Part C recommends a pan length of 700mm for wheelchair and assisted use. Approved Document M and British Standards 8300 recommend a 750mm long toilet pan for independent wheelchair transfer.
WCs should be rimless, back to wall or wall hung and be tested up to 400kg. Bushboard's ready plumbed healthcare IPS is factory tested up to 400kg, guaranteeing patient safety. Independent wheelchair and assisted toilets require a backrest for comfort and to aid transfer. The padded backrest should not project more than 50mm behind the toilet seat hinge to allow the seat to be raised when required.
In a disabled toilet, the toilet seat should contrast visually with the background wall and floor finishes against which it is being viewed.
Our healthcare sanitaryware is available pre-plumbed and factory tested with our two healthcare IPS unit styles. The Traditional Boxed Out Unit features sit on panels on a rigid, steel frame with large top-hinge access, or our Trust System is Solid Grade Laminate with flush fitted metal extrusions and access hatches.
