Located on the edge of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District, Park Foot Holiday Park is a well-known family-friendly destination that has welcomed visitors since 1951. Originally a working farm, it has grown into a vibrant holiday park offering breath taking views and access to top walking routes and water sports.

To continue improving its high-quality offering, Park Foot recently invested in a luxury washroom and changing room facility at its Lakeside campsite area. For this key upgrade, the park turned once again to Bushboard Washrooms, having previously used them for other campsite toilet block installations.

Modern Toilet Cubicles for Campsite Washroom Upgrade

The park chose Bushboard’s Definition toilet cubicle for their Lakeside shower and toilet block. Having already proven successful in the park’s TJ restaurant washrooms and Striding Edge main site shower block, Definition was selected for its robust performance and clean, contemporary design.

To give the campsite washroom facilities a distinctive feel, the family-run team at Park Foot Holiday Park opted for Bleached Oak cubicle doors paired with Silver Oak pilasters and partitions. This created a natural, high-end aesthetic that blends beautifully with the site’s outdoor surroundings.

Durable Shower Cubicles Designed for High Traffic Changing Rooms

The shower cubicles were made from Solid Grade Laminate (SGL), a material ideal for changing rooms and shower cubicles exposed to moisture and heavy use. SGL ensures the shower cubicles are fully waterproof, highly durable, and easy to clean, all critical features in any campsite changing facility.

Each shower cubicle was designed with guest comfort in mind, including a freestanding changing room bench, modesty screen, and coat hook mounted on the inside of the door. This layout offers a convenient, dry space for users to place clothes and towels while using the showers.

Ready Plumbed Urinal Panels for Efficient Campsite Washroom Installation

In the male washroom, Bushboard supplied Urinal Duct Panels in Silver Oak to match the cubicles. These were provided as a Ready Plumbed Module (RPM), a pre-plumbed and pre-built framed system that arrives on site readily assembled with sanitaryware for final connections. With such a large installation project, this approach significantly reduced installation time.

Sensor activated flush systems were also used to improve hygiene and reduce water usage, an important feature in modern campsite washrooms.

Solid Surface Vanity Units with Integrated Basins for Campsite Hygiene

For the washroom vanity units, this time, Park Foot Holiday Park selected solid surface vanity tops with integrated basins. These sleek, seamless units are not only visually striking with a premium appearance but also practical. The minimal joints make them easy to clean and maintain, essential in high-traffic campsite washroom environments.

The Park Foot team commented on the benefit of these integrated systems saying they “liked the idea of the seamless integration of the sinks… meaning easier to keep clean”.

Family-Friendly Campsite Toilet Facilities with Baby Changing

Park Foot Holiday Park is always focused on being family-friendly and ensuring its facilities are suitable. The new campsite shower block includes dedicated family washrooms. These private rooms include a toilet, shower, solid surface cantilever vanity tops, and baby changing unit, making it easier for parents with small children to use the facilities.
